M'Laren, was to sail from London, for Wellington, Nelson, Auckland, and New Plymouth, on the 26th November, under engagement to the New Zealand Company. H.M.S. North Star, 26 guns, Capt. Sir. E. Home, arrived at Sydney Feb. 10th. H.E.I.C. sloop Elphinstone, 18 guns, arrived in Sydney on the 13th Feb. Passengers, Col. Despard and Lieut. Main. The barque' Fortescue, 306 tons," sailed from Sydney 20th Feb. for Manila, via New Zealand; and same day, barque Golien Spring, 316 tons, for Otakou, New Zealand. The brig Eleanor, M'Farlane had sailed from y Sydney on a whaling voyage. The brigantine Hannah, 90 tons, Taylor, had not arrived in Sydney when the Sarah left. Mr. E. S. Bryant and a young lad were the only passengers. The brig Bee, 134 ton", Unthank, arrived in Sydney four days prior to the sailing of the She encountered some severe and boisterous weather.
