H.M.S. Racehorse, spoke the vessel containing the Colonel and tbe remainder of the 58th Kegfi. off the Bay of Islands, and in consequence they proceeded there direct instead of going on to Auckland. Two hundred .troops (relieved from Van Dieman's Land)' were-to be sent from Norfolk IsUi d to New Zealand, being the last reinforcement that would be received for the present. ' H.M.S. Daphne had returned to the South American Station at the request of Capt* Fitzroj. The finrnore, 400 tons, was laid on for this port from Engiand instead of the Lanchester. The Munfurd was to sail from Sydney for this port via Twofold Bay two days afier the Bee. '*~
