f^iO M PLAINTS having been made at this V-/ Office, of the number of Cattle found wandering at large in the Town of Wellington, and of frequent damage done to cultivated grounds by such cattle ; Notice is hereby given, that if any honied or neat cattle, horses, sheep, goats, and swine, shall be found wandering at large in any of the streets or public places of the Town of Wellington, (he owner thereof shall forfeit and pay for every head of cattle so wandering, any sum not exceeding five shillings. The Royal William, Oct. 12, from Port Nicholson and Nelson. The brig Bee, Oct. 12, after a passage of twentyone days. gers, Mr. G. Baker. Mr. J. Dunn, and Mr. A. Newton.

The Terror sailed for Auckland Oct. 8. The David Malcolm was to sail immediately after the Scotia for this port via Twofold Bay— PassenThe Haidee and the Sir John Franklin were laid on for Auckland. The Comet was to sail immediately for Nelson via Twofold Bay, with sheep and cattle.

Mr. Earp's Line of Packets — Under engagement to the New Zealand Company, to sail on the 24th of July, unless so >ncr despatched, the Lancfiesler, 400 tons, Captain Purchase. The mail for the Nelson brig was announced at the General Post-office, to be made up on the 20th of June.
