The following are the Signals-used at th* Flag Staff at Mount Albert. A Square denotes a Ship, "") When the ACros, « a Barque, [%«£%, A Circle a Brig, \ „ „ . 7 , „ A Triangle « a Schooner, l* B £"/' A Diamond " a Cutter, \ $11 be A Parallelogram" a Steamer, J lowered. Remarks. — A White Flag at Mas* Head denotes a sail in sight; when the ctass is ascertained, the descriptive Signal will be hoisted at the Yard Arm. English vessel of war, Union Jack at Mast Head. Foreign vessel of war, Union Jack at Maat Head, with white Pendant. Government hrig, white Pendant under descriptive Signal. When a vessel is at anchor, either inside ot outside the Heads, the flag is lowered to* halt , mast. A vessel in distress, or on shore, descriptive signal half mast. Fore and aft schooner, a triangle, hollow in the centre.
