SIMMON DS, in returning thanks to his num erous Friends, and the Colonial Public in general, for the large share of patronage and support which he has received during the past six years, takes leave to inform them, that in consequence of the rapid influx of business from all parts of the world, and the great portion of his time which has hitherto been occupied by the editing and publication of the Colonial Magazine, he has taken into partnership Mr. Francis Clowes, a gentleman of first-rate talent and respectability, and that the business will be henceforward carried on under the Firm of SIMMONDS & CLOWES; and he respectfully solicits for the Firm that continued share of patronage and support which it wiU be their earnest endeavour to merit by promptitude, untiring energy, continued aeal, and moderate charges. SIMMONDS & CLOWES, as General Agents and Commission Merchants, beg leave to acquaint the Colonial Public, that they are now ready to receive orders for supplies of any kind and quantity, and goods of every description, of first-rate quality, at the very lowest market prices of the day, and to transact business upon the most Kfeeral terms, provided they are previously furnished witb funds or drafts at either long or short dates, or a reference to some London or Liverpool house for payment. SIMMONDS & CLOWES will continue to receive consignments of merchandize, to be sold on commission, and upon the receipt of the bills of Jading will accept drafts at three months for two-thirds of the amount. Consignments entrusted to their care will meet with every possible despatch in their disposal, and the sales be conducted with the greatest attention to the interests of the consigner. An extensive knowledge of general business, and the experience of so many years as Colonial Agents m London coupled with promptitude, attention , and judgment, ■will, they trust, enable them to give satisfaction to those who may favour them with their commands. *** In consequence of the extensive correspondence of the Firm, they have to request that all letters may be 1 post-paid. «£§r The "New Zealand Spectator and Cook's Straits (hiardian" is regularly filed in London by Messrs. THE Nelson Examiner and New Zealand Chronicle (published at Nelson,) is regularly transmitted to Wellington; and may be had at the Office of this paper.
