T HE Overland Mails to Pelre, New Plymouth, and Auckland, hitherto despatched from the above Office on the first and third Monday in each month, will, for the future, be forwarded every alternate Monday : this arrangement will come into effect on the 12th instant. MOOXT ALBERT. The following are- the Signals used at the Flag-Staff at Mount Albert. A Square denotes a Ship ~) When the A Cross " a Barque | vessel is inside A Circle " a Brig 5 the MffiADS A Tiiangle " a Schooner f the FLAG A Diamond •' a Cutter I will be i A Parallelogram a Steamer j lowered. Remarks. — A White Flag at Mast Head denotes a sail in sight ; when the class is ascertained, the descriptive Signal will be hoisted at the Yard Arm. English vessel of war, Union Jack at Mast Head. Foreign vessel of war, Union Jack at Mast Head, with *phit«* Pendant. Government Brig, white Pendant under descriptive Signal. When a vessel is at anchor, either inside or outside the Heads, the flag is lowered to half mast. A vessel in distress, or on shore, descriptive signal half mast. Fore and aft schooner, a triangle, hollow in the centre.
