MODE OF DELIVERY. 7th. — No part whatever of the supplies above specified, shall be received in charge of the Commissariat, but shall be delivered by the Contractor direct to the persons entitled thereto, at any place within the limits of the Town, upon the written order of the Commissariat Officer in charge, or of any person authorised by him for that purpose.
GENERAL CONDITIONS. Bth.--Each Tender sent in, in consequence of this Advertisement, to be accompanied by a statement signed by two competent persons, and expressing their readiness, in the event of such Tender being acepted, to become security for the due performance of the Contract, which will then be entered into. The penalty of the bond to be equal to the estimated amount of two months supplies, and no supplies will be received until the bond has been duly executed. 9th — Tenders may be sent in, either for the whole of the supplies required or for any poition of them, except those under the head of "Hospitals," which must all be in one Tender. 10th. — The Contractor to prepare his own account according to the pi escribed form, for the amoun' of which he will be furnished with a certificate by the Undersigned, and on the production thereof at the Commissariat oftice, at Auckland, he shall receive payment monthlj', by a Bill upon the Lords Commissioners of her Majesty's Treasury, at par, when the amount is twenty-five pounds or upwards; when under that amount, payment wiH be there made cash. 11th. — In the event of any article offered being objected to as not agreeing with these conditions, it will be submitted to a Board of Officers, to be appointed by the Officer conimanding'the Troops, and if rejected by the Board, it will be replaced by the Conimissaliat Officer Efrnd charged against the Contractor, in the event of his neglecting to do so when required. 12th. — It shall be in the power of either party to limit the duiation of the contract by giving in wiiting a notice of three calendar months ti the other party. And to end the contract at the expiiation of that period, it being undei stood that such notice can be given only fiom the first.day of a month, and within the period for which the Contract is made or agreed to be made. 13th — Each Tender to be enclosed in a separate envelope, and marked " Tender for Bread," "Tender for Meat," &c, as the case may be. No Tender sent in shall be withdrawn or altered, and notice of those accepted shall be given within three dajs of the time of
opening. In all cases where persons-,who have tendered, lefuse to fulfil their offers upon light or fmolous excuses, it will be competent for the Undersigned to decline to receive Tenders from them at any future period. Butchers, Te Aro, are requested to settle their respective accounts forthwith, or means will be taken for recovery of the same ; and all parties having claims on the said firm are requested to send in the Bam e immediately to Mr. Williamson, the surviving partner, for adjustment.
