Duties. — By a recent Act of the Legislative Council, the Customs have been abolished, and all Goods may be imported to this Colony free of Duties. There is likewise no duty on Exports. Vessels visiting the harbours of New Zealand can enter free of all charges, Pilots are stationed at the principal Ports, but vessels are not required to pay for, or to take Pilots aboard, unless they choose. Supplies of all kinds may be had at reasonable rates. 5 per cent is the usual rate of Commission, exclusive of charges.

NOTICE.
WHEREAS a quantity of 1 Building Materials, by the-cutter Royal William, were landed at A. Brown's store at Kapiti about 15 months ago. This is to give notice, that unless the liabilities incurred thereon are forthwith discharged, they will be sold to pay the same. February 14, 1845.

NEW ZEALAND AGENCY.
MR. F. W. JERNINGHAM begs to inform his friends and the colonists, that he is about to return to England by the Caledonia, in March next, and intends to open a General Agency Business in London, in connection with thiscolony. His chief object will be introducing not only to the English public, but to the foreign markets, the new and valuable productions of New Zealand. He therefore solicits their support, and assures them that all business entrusted to his care will meet with the strictest attention and despatch. Parties wishing to ship by the Caledonia, not having Agents in England, can make arrangements with Mr. Jerningham, during the next month, or by application to ' Messrs. Clifford and Vavasour, Wellington. Thorndon Beach, Jan. 31, 1845.
