Among them is the 'first number 'of a Weekly periodical, entitled the [N&o^eries of the Polynesian, under date the -ipth August. Also a file of the Friend, of Temperance and Seamen, a monthly publications. Our receipts bear date from June Ist -tq September lsc. Thii file contaias a most valuable series of papers upon Honolulu, the principal of the islands, and the head quarters of Government, from the pen of R. C. Wyllie, Esq., who is known to several gentlemen in this settlement, and who is now acting as Pro- Consul at the Sandwich Islands during the absence of General filler, who had proceeded on business to Tahiti.
