After this month the Imperial Government will transfer the payment of its New Zealand pensioners to the Colonial Administration. It is not known who is to succeed the Imperial Deputy CommissaryGeneral, but rumor points to Colonel xlaultain as the coming man. Mr R. J. Creighton, one of the Auckland members of the General Assembly, has assumed the editorship of the Auckland " Herald." A large order for volunteer clothing has been received by Messrs Burns and Co, of Mosgiel factory, Otago.
