Auckland Cattle Market.—Mr Alfred Buckland reports, under date of the 16th instant, as follows :—At the Remuera Yards, on Thursday hist, dairy cows were in les3 demand than the previous week, and at lower values. Store cattle were in limited numbers, and very dull of sale. Fat cattle were in average supply—9s head penned. Best quality maintained last week's prices, but middling and inferior animals were lower 2s 6d the cwt. Fat sheep were in average supply, and of good quality. Store sheep were in moderate numbers only ; all sold at fully late rate?. Lambs were p!ent ; ful, but of very variable quality, and without alteration in value. Small sized fat pigs were short of requirements and at higher values. Prices obtained were as follow :—Dairy cows, at calving, from £5 10s to £8 17s 6d ; dry cows, £2 15s to £4s ; real calves, 20s to 30s each; fat cattle

ranged from 22s to 30s, averaging abou fc 26s the lOOlbs; fat sheep, 3d per lb; storo merino ewes, 3s 6d ; half-breds. 8s 9d each ; lambs, best quality, 15s to 28s 6d ; middling quality, 9s to~l4s each ; small-sized well bred pigs, from 60s to 100 s each— about 4d the lb. —At the Haymarket, on Friday, good hay brought from* 3s to 4s 6d the cwt. Hor6e stock were in limited numbers, but with a fair demand. Active harness horses, equal to a ton, brought from £ls 10s to £27 ; strong riding horses. £ll to £2B ; small-sized hacks, £4 10s to £6 10s each.
