We understand that Dr Hector, who is now on the West Coast of the Middle Island, for the purpose of examining the Mount Boclifort coal seam, on the Duller River, has received instructions to proceed to the Merri Creek quartz reefs, situate on the water shed of the Grey and Buller Rivers, with the object of reporting to the Government upon the nature and prospects of those reefs, concerning which so much interest has lately been aroused. Recent information tends to show that that locality is likely to become of considerable importance, and that, as soon as the machinery which is now on the ground is got into operation, a large population will be attracted thither. Berkley, Sept. 1869.—Gentlemen, I feel it a duty I owe to you to express my gratitude for the great benefit I have derived by taking ‘ Norton’s Camomile Pills.’ I applied to your agents, Mr Bell Berkley, for the above named Pills, for wind in the stomach, for which I suffered excruciating pain for a length of time, having tried every remedy perscribed, but without deriving any benefit at all. After taking two bottles of your valuable pills I was quite restored to my usual state of health. Please give this publicity for the benefit of those who may thus be afflicted.”—-I am, Sir, yours truly, Henry Allpass. —-To the proprietors of Norton’s Camomile Pills.
