The Treasurer of Tasmania, when introducing the budget on the 16th of November, said that he intended to introduce a bill similar to that passed in 1867, and disallowed by the Queen, for reducing the salary of future Governors from £4OOO to £3OOO, and allowance from £2500 to £IOOO.
