The Caledonian Claim.—A Grahamstown telegram of Friday last reports :- The new low-level was swamped during the night by a rush of water from both cross-cuts. The most of the increase is coming out of the cross-cut going into the hill, and it is supposed that a body of stone —possibly No. 2 lode —is at hand. In the other cross-cut the No. 1 lode is daily looked for. There is 25ft of water in the shaft. To reduce it, and also to prepare fo¥ a further increese, another lift, lOin in is to be fixed at once\
