IN compliance with recommendations cor tained in the Reports of the Flax Con mission Committee, and of the Joint Con mittee on Colonial Industries, to the effec that “ premiums not exceeding in the who! £SOO should be granted for the encouragemen of Sericiculture in the Colony,” and that th development of certain industi’ial pursuil would often be best promoted by the offer of bonus on production, the following Reward are offered, subject to tie under-mentione conditions : A bonus of 50 per cent, on the value ret lized is offered for the production of the firs £IOOO worth of cocoons of the Silkworm c eggs of the Silkworm produced in the Colony to be paid on quantities of not less value tha £SO or more than £IOO produced by any on person. To any person or persons who shall mam; facture, within the Colony, from New Zealan flax— For the first 500 reams of Printing Paper, a sum of £4OO ; and a further sum of £250 for the first 500 reams of Packing L’aper; and the like sum for the first 10,000 yards of Scrimcloth suitable for covering flax bales. Conditions. The required quantity of each article to be completed before the 30th June, 1872. The weight of each ream of printing paper to be not less than 30 lbs., of each ream of packing paper not less than 40 lbs., and of each piece of scrim-cloth of 100 yards in length and double width, not less than 30 lbs.
