Wanganui.—The " Chronicle" of the 23rd reports: —'A meeting of the creditors of Mr R. S. Low was held to-day. Mr Hutchinson in the chair. Mr Low stated his liabilities at £2,148 and his assets at £1,065, showing a deficiency of £1,083, caused by losses sustained by Messrs Brewer and Durie and others. Mr Lowe made an offer of a composition of 5s in the pound, guaranteed at three and six months, which was accepted generally, the meeting recommending Mr Low, in the meantime, to grant an assignment for the protection of the estate, which will be done at once.
