Feasting Titokowaeu.— The “ Wanganu Herald” says: —Titokowaru has been invited to a return banquet at Waihi (not Patea Waihi), about five miles north of the Waitara river. It is expected that a very large number of natives will be present, as the inducement is unusually great. About twelve tonß of flour, besides potatoes, pigs, and other edibles, have been prepared by the friendlies for their reception. Titokowaru was expected on Friday or Saturday last. Wild Dogs are becoming unpleasantly numerous on the ranges near Hyde.—To the westward of the Waihola Lake hares are reported to be rapidly increasing in numbers.
