Under the “ Divorce and Matrimonial Causes Act, 1867.” TO NICHOLAS BROWN, formerly of Featherston, in the province of Wellington and colony of New Zealand ; afterwards of Lyttelton, in the province of Canterbury, in the said colony ; and afterwards of Nelson, in the province of Nelson, in the said colony. Take notice, that a citation, bearing date the seventh day of January, 187 L, has issued under the seal of the Supreme Court of New Zealand, at the instance of James Thompson, of Masterton, in Wairarapa, in the province of Wellington, citing you to. appear m the said Court within fourteen days of the service thereof, then and there to answer his petition filed in the said Court praying for a dissolution of his marriage with Mary Thompson. And such citation contains an intimation that in default of your so doing the said Court will proceed to hear the charge made in the said petition proved in due course of law, and to pronounce sentence therein, your absence notwithstanding. And take further notice, that by an order of said Court, made on the 3rd of May, 1871, it was ordered that personal service of the said order should be dispensed with upon a notice of the said citation and order being advertised twice in the New Zealand Mail, with an interval of fourteen days between the first and second insertion.
