Cobb’s Coach Nearly Over a Cutting.— We (“Herald”) learn from Mr Emmerto 11 that on hia journey up from Patea, he found on approaching Stoney Kiver Bridge, that the natives were making a cutting, and had just come to the centre of a hill over which he had to pass. On arriving at the spot, the natives told him of the state of affairs ; he, therefore, had to lower the coach down with ropes from a height of some seven or eight feet, and to jump the horses. As it would take the natives a day to make the road clear, the coach did not start yesterday.
