The . Court ruled the objection good:®;.Mr. k Hay then asked to appear for the Trustee. .. The Court decided that he could appear- for the Trustee, but not to,'oppose. .. Was Mr. Hay. assist the debtor in getting his discharge'.? Mr. Hay said as the question had 'been asked he would answer it. He had, however, been .cornered at last, and yesterday in the District.: Court paid some £18 into Court, allow.Trig,the. remainder of the claim—£2s 3s 6d— ;to go for. plaintiff by default. y'Mr.- Seth Smith, the District Judge, deliA'eredf'his' lecture on the "History of ..Writing," in the Public Hall last night. The Rev.-O'C; Biggs presided, but there was but a small attendance.' The lecture itself was exceedingly, interesting and entirely relieved of;the dry-as-dust character, which so many feared the subject would necessarily entail.' .. : It is' believed that Messrs.
