Glidden's Glide (For the Free Lance.)

Motor-man Gladden arrived home safely from Ms trip round.' the world 1 , and the event deserves to be immortalised: — Old Grlidden left his native shore To have a big, long motor ride, And said : "In my new motor oar Around this mundane sphere I'll glide." He moted on from morn, till night, And carolled ooon songs as he rode ; In truth he was a merry wight As round this mortal coil he glade. And when at last he got back home, He said : "Around the earth I've ridden ; In fact, I almost might aver That round the planet I have gliddlen." — C. K.
