The most popular excursion from Rotorua is the round trip to Lakf s Tarawera, Rotomahana, and the mammoth Waimangu Geyser, which often spouts its wateis and mud and stones a thousand feet in the air The coach-route passes the beautiful lakes of Tikitapu and Rotokakahi, and lands passengers at the ruined village of Te Wairoa Thence boats conyey the visitois across Lakes Tarawera and Roto mahana to the great Geyser.
