Tickets for use on 2nd January may "be obtained at Te Aro, Wellington, and Napier on 31st Dcember, between the houra of 9.0 a.m and) 6.0 p.m. The Railway Recreation Grounds f.t Upper Hutt will be open to the general public on 2nd January.
