M' RITTEN TENDERS will be received at this office up till Noon of MONDAY, 29th August, 1904, for the Supply and Dehveiy of Printed Stationery, etc., at Wellington. Specifications and forms of Tender to be obtained, and Samples to be seen, at the Railway Storekeepers' Offices, Newmarket, Aldington, and Hillside, the Traffic Manager's Office, Invercargill, and the Stores Manager's Office, Wellington. Tenders to be addressed to the General Manager, New Zealand Railways, Wellington, and to be marked outside "Tender for Printed Stationery, Etc." The lowest or any tender will not necessarily be accepted, and telegraphic tenders will not be entertained. By order.

VACANCY FOR PILOT

APPLICATIONS are invited by the Wellington Harbour Board from Master Mariners for the position of PILOT for the Port of Wellington, and will be received up to Noon on THURSDAY, the Bth day of September, 1904. The salary to be offered will commence at £240 per annum, increasing by annual instalments of £10 per annum until a maximum of £300 per annum is i eached. Conditions of appointment and further particulars can be obtained at the Office of the Board, Wellington, and at the Offices of the Harbour Boards ab Auckland, Dunedin, and Christchurch.
