I HEREBY give notice that a Poll of the Ratepayers of the Melrose Ward of the City of Wellington) will be taken on WEDNESDAY, the 20th day of July, 1904, on the proposal of the Council of the City of Wellington to Borrow, by way of Special lioan, within the meaning of "The Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1901 " the sum of Thirtythree Thousand Five Hundred Pounds (£33,500), to be expended as follows • — ISLAND BAY DISTRICT. .For Street and Footpath Formation, Channelling, and Metalline, etc. .. £8,837 Engineering and Contingencies 1,163 £10,000 KILBIRNIE DISTRICT. For Street and Footpath Formation. Channelling, and Metalling, etc. .. £8,858 Engineering and Contingencies 1,142 Lowering Constable street (£4000), half cost chaiged 2,000 £12,000 OHIRO DISTRICT. For Street and Footpath Formation, Channelling, and Metalling, etc .. £8,767 Engineering and Contingencies . .. 1,233 Lowering Ohiro load (£3000), half cost chaiged .. 1,500 £11,500 Total .. £33,500 And! Poll will be taken at — The Public Schoolroom, Rosemeath Mr. Heginbotham's Hall, Kilbirnie The Public Schoolroom, Brooklyn me Public School/room, Island Bay Mr. McCarthy's Store, Hollowayroadi Mr. Prouse's Workshop, Uplandroad, Kelburne The Polling Booths will be open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. NOTE.—Section, 22 of "The Municipal Corporations Act, 1900," provides that persons whose Qualification is RESIDENTIAL are NOT entitled to vote at Polls taken on proposals relating to Loans or Rates.
