The history of this valuable estate is well' known. For many years it remained an obscure block, with narrow streets, and comparatively insignificant buildings. The change that has taken place is a remarkable one. A broad and striking thoroughfare now connects Molesworth and Mulgrave streets, and brings Parliament Buildings on the one hand and the Government Railway Station and Glasgow Wharf on the other in close proximity. A significant feature toward the immediate success of AITKEN-STREET as a business and residential area is the fact that the thoroughfare is selected as the connecting route for the Electric Tramway which unites the Moleswortih-street-Tmakori-road service with that of the Thorndon Quay and the City. RESERVE PRICES— These will be fixed on such a liberal basis that must unquestionably result in every section being disposed of at the auction sale. As an investment the advantages of site and environment bulk so largely that no special eulogy is' necessary on this head, and we confidently assert that the buyer of the 7th July will easily double his money on the investment in less than the expiration of three or four years hence. The City Corporation wish to distinctly notify that the stables now erected on a portion of the sale area will be demolished in four, or at latest six, months from date of sale, and therefore any impression that they are permanent structures may be at once dispelled. Lithograph Plans will be available next week. TERMSAs the City Corporation are not in the habit of accepting mortgages, the
