PUBLIC NOTICE. iy OTICE is hereby given, that on and 1> after FRIDAY, the Ist July, the present system of issue of tickets on the Horse Tramways, that i® the sale of shilling cards and of 3d tickets, will be discontinued. The length of Horse Tramway will be divided into two one-penny sections, namely — 1. From the Te Aro Terminus, whereever it may from time to time be, to the Government Railway Station and vice versa, FARE ONE PENNY each way. 2. From the Government Railway Station to the Thorn don terminus and vice versa, FARE ONE PENNY each way. Holders of Shilling Card Tickets are hereby notified that these tickets will not be accepted on the Electric Cars, and may only be used during the term for which the Horse Trams may be running, and may be a® usual used on the Horse Trams for a through journey. They will alsoi be accepted for penny sections only. The passenger should, however, purchase a single penny ticket for a penny section, should he object to has through ticket bein^ pierced for a penny section, but he must do so before such ticket is pierced or his objection cannot be recognised ; that is to say that a card should 1 not be presented) by the passenger except for a through journey, unless the passenger chooses to do so.
