Rugby Football.
Harry Wricley, the Melrose Club's three-quarter back, and a, Wellington •and Wairarapa representative player, presumably took his final leave of the football field during the holidays. I have not his authority for saying so, though, but "Harry" joined' the everinereasing army of "Benedicts" durmg the holiday season. I congratulate him, and wish him the best of good luck in his married life. Dan Toohill the promising Poneke three-quarter back, left Wellington for Napier on Saturday last. Since leaving St.. Patrick's College. Dan has been looking for a career, and one suitable to his tastes has been offered him in the squatter province. Toohill is just at the beginning of his fame as a footballer, and the many enthusiasts in Napier will encourage him in his aspirations. The district scheme is in operation in Napier, and, as Toohill intends settling in the Scinde district, he will play for the club of that name. Stalker, the New Zealand and Otago representative three-quarter, is at present in Christchurch and I hear he will come to Wellington before the football season if he can find suitable employment.
