" The Committee appointed to investigate the claims of the BAR-LOCK Typewriter and the Hammond Typewriter have gone most carefully into the merits of the two machines, and have UNANIMOUSLY arrived at the conclusion that the BAR-LOCK is superior to the Hammond. The Committee consisted of some of the best known business men of Dunedin, and £20 of the Stakes went to the Otago University funds.
