IN the Challenge Contest for £30 in Dunedin, OPEN TO ALL M\KES OF TYPEWRITERS, and taken up by the Hammond Agents, the following unanimous decision was given .—. — " Dunedin, 30th July, 1903. " The Committee appointed to investigate the claims of the BAR-LOCK Typewnter and the Hammond Typewiiter have gone most caiefully into the rnents of the two machines, and have UNANIMOUSLY arnved at the conclusion that the BAR-LOCK is superior to the Hammond. " ALFRED WM. KITSON, Chairman." (Piesident Otago Shoithand Writeis' Association). The Committee consisted of some of the best known business men of Dunedin, and £20 of the Stakes went to the Otas;o University funds.
