ONSLOW BOROUGH COUNCIL. BY-LAW CONTROLLING BILLIARDROOMS. NOTICE is hereby given that the Onslow Borough Council will hold a MEETING on the 13tth day of JUNE, at 7.30 p.m., for the purpose of confirming a Resolution passed by way of Special Order on the 16th day of May, 1903, making a Bylaw for the Defining, Licensing, and Controlling of Billiard-rooms within the Borough of Onslow. The object of this said Bylaw isi to provide for the proper conduct of all buildings and places used as bUliaTdrooms. That all such buildings shall be open at all' times for tihe inspection of the police, or any person or persons appointed bv t!?e Council, for the licensing of such buildings, and the fees payable to the Council, and also fixine; the penalties for the infringement of the said By-laws. ONSLOW BOROUGH COUNCIL. NOTICE OF INTENTION TO MAKE RATES. NOTICE is hereby given that the Onslow Borough, Council will, at a Special Meeting, to be held on MONDAY, the 25th day of May, 1903, at 1 p.m. make the following rates for the period commencing on Ist April, 1903, and ending on the 31st day of March, 1904 viz. • — 1. A General Rate, for the purpose of the Borough, of Twopence in the £ on the unimproved value of all rateable property within, the Borough. 2. A Rate under the provisions of "The Hospital and Charitable institutions Act, 1885," of One-fifth of a penny in the £ on the capital value of all rateable property within the Borough. 3. A Special Rate of Three-fourths of a Penny in the £ on the unimproved value of all rateable property within the Borough to meet Interest and Sinking Fund on the Loan. 4. A Separate Rate, applicable only to the South Ward of the Borough, of Three-eaghtihs of a Penny in tihe £ on the capital value of all rateable property within the SOUTH WARD, to cover the expense of lighting the South Ward with the electric light. The above Rates will be payable in one sum on the Ist day of June, 1903, at the office of the Council, Lambton Quay. The estimate of income and expenditure for the period for which the abovementioned Rate is proposed to be made and the Rate Book containing the particulars of such, Rates, are open for Inspection at th© Borough Council Office, Lambton Quay.
