CASH v. CREDIT. TO OUR PATRONS AND THE GENERAL PUBLIC.
Wellington, April 2nd, 1903. WE aie commencing a twelve months' experiment of a CUTTING CASH TRADE FOR READY CASH. Many firms in other cities in New Zealand are doing large trades on strictly cash lines at low prices, and we believe there is room for at least One Large Ready Cash Drapery Business in this City. This operation will require a large increase in cash trade to pay for loss of profits through reduced prices in a large portion of our stock. However, we will save considerably where we now make bad debts, besides many other incidentel expenses in connection with a credit trade. In the past our prices have been the lowest in Wellington ; in the future Lower Prices will still prevail. Price List and Samples of our Goods can be had on application. — Yours respectfully, WARNOCK & ADKIN.
All who wish to purchase goods in small quantities, without the trouble of sending cash at time of purchase, can do so by sending cash in advonce. For instance, suppose £5 is sent, goods can be purchased at any time until the amount sent is reached. To encourage this form of payment we have decided in all cases of advanced payments to add 5 per cent, to the amount received, viz. — For £1 goods to the value of £1 Is. will be given. For £2 goods to the value of £2 2s. will be given. For £5 goods to the value of £5 ss. will be given, and so on. We hope the public will realise the great benefits of these advance payments.
