WITHDRAWALJOFJPHE OFFER. OtllV LAST DAYS OF " THE TIMES " SALE OF "The Century a tew Dictionary & Cyclopedia & Atlas." DfltyS sATURDSISiritMHE end. More !

A night shift of packers has been put to work, and every possible effort is being made to complete deliveries as soon as possible. Several envelopes containing cheques apparently intended to cover payments for " The Century," but not affording any information as to the address to which volumes should be sent, are lying at " The Times " office. On account of the still greater mass of letters which will certainly reach " The Times " in the next two or three days, subscribers are specially requested to exercise care in sending their orders and to refrain from posting a remittance unaccompanied by an order form or a letter, and to be equally careful not to send an order form or letter of application without a remittance. As it will be impossible to reply to-day to letters of enquiry, the following facts may serve to avert confusion.

"NOW OR NOT AT ALL" On Saturday, March 28th, « The Times " sale in New Zealand of « The Century Dictionary & Cyclopedia & Atlas" will be discontinued at present Prices the opportunity to secure the great Encyclopedia of and Treasury 0' Facts as well as a Complete Atlas of the World at half the publishers' price will be at an end. It has been impossible to cope with the mass of orders for « The Century which has reached " The Times " the past few days, but receipts are being sent out as rapidly as possible, and in the meantime subscribers cheques will not be paid into the bankers until they have been acknowledged. THE GREAT "QUESTION ANSWERER," LAST DAYS OF THE ISSUE. IMMEDIATE POSSESSION. By an immediate payment of ten shillings the whole set of " The Century Dictionary & Cyclopedia & Atlas" is brought at once into the possession of the purchaser Theie is, fheSe!no delay in enjoying the'use of any part of the work This is so entirely^different from the system of delivering a work in parts from time to time as they may appear that there is no need to dwell upon it. Here the purchaser need have no fear that the yery thing he wishes to read about will be described in the very volume which he has not yet received. The resources of the whole work are at his disposal from the very outset. The other grave objection to the system of payment by instalment is that as a rule the subscriber has in the end to pay a very large sum in excess of the cash price m order that the seller maybe compensated for the deferred return upon his capital. The prices for ■'The Century "stated on the Order Form below, shows that "The Times" has reduced this excess payment to the lowest limit. There is a difference between the instalment and the 'Ssh price? but it is only a difference of some shillings. Immediate delivery from Wellingtom.

The " Century," with Special Bookcase, in use.
