Association Football.
The accident which befel Kober last Saturday unfortunately happens to be « orse than at first anticipated. The knee is severely fractured, and he will be confined to his bed for at least three weeks. I wish him a speedy recovery of the use of his foot, and also extend my sympathy at his inability to accompany the team to Dunedin. It is an ill wind that blows nobody good. Owing to the accident toJKober, and Fitzgerald being unable to obtain the necessaiy leave, Selector Roberts was placed in a peculiar position. However, Fitzgerald managed to obtain leave and the accompanied he team to Dunodin.
