WELLINGTON CITY COUNCIL. PROPOSED SPECIAL LOAN. In the mattei of the Municipal Corpoiations Act, 1900. THE Council of the City oi Wellington heieby gives public notice that such Council pioposes to borrow (bv way of Special Loan within the meaning of the Municipal Corpoiations Act, 1900) the sum of Forty-two Thousand Seven Hundred and Fifty Pounds, to be expended on the Constiuction of a new Storage Reseivon at the Watei works at Wainui-o-mata, and in the Construction of a Main between such dam, and the pipe leading out of the present dam, and in the Constiuction of a Second or Alternative Main between the well at Wainui-o-mata and the Post Office there. This latter main is to be provided for the purpose of avoiding the present risk to the City Supply by reason of two river crossings The Council proposes to pledge a Special Rate of seven thirty-seconds of a penny in the pound (on the basis of the Unimproved Value) on all ratable pioperty within the City of Wellington as security for the said Loan of Forty-two Thonsand Seven Hundied and Fifty Pounds and the Interest and Sink ing Fund thereon. It is proposed that the whole amount of the Loan shall be repayable at the expiration of a term of thirty years computed fiom the first day of October, XJUa* Dated this 23id day of June, 1902. J. E.
