WELLINGTON CITY COUNCIL. PROPOSED SPECIAL LOAN. In the matter of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1900. THE Council of the City of Wellingtoa hereby gives public notice that such Council proposes to borrow (by way of Special Loan within the meaning of the Municipal Corpoiations Act, 1900) the sum of Forty-two Thousand Seven Hundred and Fifty Pounds, to be expended on the Construction of a new Storage Reservoir at the Waterworks at Wainui-o-mata, and in the Construction of a Main between such dam, and the pipe leading out of the present dam, and in the Construction of a Second or Alternative Main between the well at Wainui-o-mata and the Post Office there. This latter main is to be provided for the purpose of avoiding the present risk to the City Supply by reason of two river crossings The Council proposes to pledge a Special Rate of seven thirty-seconds of a penny in the pound (on the basis of the Unimproved Value) on all ratable pioperty within the City of Wellington as security for the said Loan of Forty-two Thonsand Seven Hundred and Fifty Pounds and the Interest and Sink ing Fund thereon. It is proposed that the whole amount of the Loan shall be repayable at the expiration of a term of thirty years computed from the first day of October, 1902. Dated this 23rd day of June, 1902. J. E. The Council proposes to pledge a Special Rate of seven thirty-seconds of a penny in the pound (on the basis of the Unimproved Value) on all rateable property within the City of Wellington as security for the said Loan of Forty Thousand Two Hundred and Fifty Pounds and the Interest and Sinking Fund thereon.
