WELLINGTON CITY COUNCIL.

NOTICE OF SPECIAL ORDER STRIKING A SPECIAL RATE.

NOTICE is hereby given that the following resolution was passed by the Wellington City Council at a Special Meeting of the said Council held on TUESDAY, the 10th day of June, 1902, at 7.30 o'clock in the evening, viz : — That a Special Rate of 7-128ths of a penny in the £ on the basis of the Unimproved Value be and the same hereby is by Special Order made and struck on all rateable property in the City of Wellington for the purpose of providing and as security for the interest on the Special Loan of £25,000 which is being raised by the Council for street- widening purposes, such Special Rate to be payable by equal half-yearly instalments during the currency of the loan on the first day of June and the first day of December in each year, and to be leviable from time to time without further proceedings until the said loan shall be paid off. And notice is hereby further given that the said resolution will be brought up for confirmation at a Special Meeting of the Council, to be held in the Council Chamber, Brandonstieet, on TUESDAY, the Bth day of July, at 4 o'clock in the afternoon.
