The> are on a toui around the woild, and expect to spend some time 1 m this colony and Australia. They open their New Zealand tour at Sydneystreet Schoolroom, where they give three porf 01 mances next week, on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday evenings. The company consists of the following talent Bernhard Walthei , the famous Belgian violin virtuoso, Lillian Walthe>r, mezzo-soprano , Cvrus Brow nlee Newton, American humorous mipeisonator, and Beatrice Vartha accompanist. Artistically speaking Bernhard Walther belongs to the Franco-Belgian school of violinists His playing is frequently compared to that of Saiasate. He is brilliant and emotional. The Chicago "Inter-Ocean" speaks of his reception there as in the nature of an ovation and that he aioused his audience to a pitch of enthusiasm not often exhibited by an Anglo-Saxon gatheiing

In the past, managers of concert companies invariably brought only one artist here Dr. Thomas, the manager of the Boston Concert Company, has thiee distinct artists, and, no doubt, the music-loving people of Wellington w ill give this company a splendid reception
Mr. John A. Taylor, who has managed the Wellington branch of Andrew Given and Co., paper merchants, for the last eight years, and developed their business very considerably in the North Island. ha<^ severed' his connection with the firm in order to join Middows Bros . of Sydney, for whom he is to act as sole representative in New Zealand. The local staff of Given and Co. took the oppoitiunity on Monday last of showing their esteem for the departing manager bv presenting him with a handsome dressing-case. Mr. Taylor leaves today (Friday) by the Waikare, for Sydney, and will return about a month hence to establish Middows Bros.' New Zealand headouarters in "Wellington
