U In the mattei of " The Municipal Corporations Act, 1900," and of "The Ti am ways Act, 1891." rTIHE Council of the City of Wellington I heieby gives public notice that such Council proposes to bonow (by way of Special Loan within the meaning of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1900) the sum of Thiee Hundied and Thnty Thousand Pounds, to be expended upon the undermentioned works — £ (1) Construction of Electnc Tramways in the City of Wellington, with an extension of such Tramways m the Borough of Melrose . . 225,000 (2) Paving the streets along the piesent Tiamway Line in the City of Wellington with wooden blocks . . 55,000 (3) Erection of Town Hall and Municipal Offices . . 50,000 £333,000 Each of the above sums being deemed appropriated to the work set opposite the same The Council proposes to pledge a Special Rate of lOd in the £ on the lateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all lateable piopeity within the City of Wellington as secunty tor the said loan of £330,000 and the interest and sinking fund thereon. It is pioposed that the whole amount of the loan shall be lepayable at the expiration of a term of 30 years computed from the Ist day of Maich, 1902. Dated this 9fch day of January, 1902. J. E.
