TENDERS FOR MAIL STEAM SERVICE TO CHATHAM ISLANDS. General Post Office. Wellington, 24th January. 1902. mENDERS will be received at the Chief JL Post Office, Christchurch, until noon of Wednesday, the 19th Februaiy, 1902, toi the Conveyance of Mails once every two months by steamer to and Irom the Chatham Islands, calling at such places, inclusive of Pitt Island, in the group as may be determined upon by the Postmaster-General, for two yeais from the Ist Apnl, 1902, with Lvttelton oi Wellington as the port of depaituie and Lyttelton the poit of anival. Tenders to be endoised, " Tenders for Chatham Islands Mail Service," and addiessed to the Chief Postmaster, Christchuich. Names, tonnage, and horse-powe.r of atea ners pioposed to be used to be stated. The lowest or any tender will not necessarily be accepted. W. GRAY, Secretary.
