T~\ ISTRICT ORDERS Headquarters, Wellington, 30th Ootober, 1901. 1. On Saturday, 9th November, being the Anniversary of the Birthday of His Majesty the King, a Royal Salute of twenty-one guns will be fired from the Saluting Battery at 8 a.m., by the Permanent Artillery. 2. On same date the Outer Forts will be manned by the Wellington Naval Artillery by noon. 3. The Wellington- Submarine Mineis and Wellington Engineers will parade at Mount Cook Drillshed at 9 30 a m , and march thence by nearest route to Mount Crawford to act, under Commander Campbell, in defence of the Forts " in reverse." 4. The Wellington Battalion, Cycle and Bearer Corps, and the Garrison Band will parade at Mount Cook at 9.30 a m., and pioceed to the Miramar Peninsula for Field Manoeuvres and as an attacking force, under Lieut.-Col. Collins. .■>. Water Bottles, Haversacks, and a Light Meal will be carried. 6. The Messrs Crawford having generously placed their estate at the disposal of the troops for the day, the greatest care will be taken to close gates and prevent damage to fences, etc. STUART NEWALL, Lieut-Col , Commanding District.
