VISIT OF T.R.H. THE DUKE AND DUCHESS OF CORNWALL.

NOTICE

ALL Owners and Occupiers of Premises adjoining the route proposed to be taken by T.R.H. the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall on the occasion of their visit to Wellington, are hereby notified that any Verandahs or Balconies proposed to be occupied by any Serson for the purpose of viewing the loyal procession must be first inspects ed and certified as safe and sufficient. Further, any proposed alterations or additions to any such Verandahs or Balconies, or the erection of any similar new structure or Platform, must be first approved by the City Surveyor. All applications, with plans, specifications, etc., should be submitted without delay. R. TAIT,

£5 REWARD— FIRE ALARMS

NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council will pay the above Reward to any one who may give such information as will lead te the conviction of any person wilfully breaking the glass of Fire Alarms within the City or otherwise damaging these alarms. The public are requested NOT to use these alarms in cases of fires in chimneys or gorse only. R. TAIT, Acting Town Clerk. 16th April, 1901.

THURSDAY AND SATURDAY, 2oth and 27th April. The First Race on each day will start at 12 o'clock. Special Trains from Te Aro to the Racecourse Platform will run as follows —10.35, 11.0, 11.56 a.m., and 1 p.m. From Wellington, 10.48 and 11.15 a.m., 12.5 and 1.15 p.m. RETURN FARES (including admission to the Racecourse and People's Stand)— 4s 6d to 3s 6d. WELLINGTON RACING CLUB

NOTICE. OWNERS, Trainers, and Jockeys must obtain their tickets of admission to the Course from the Secretary, at Ms office, No. 1, Exchange Buildings, Lambton Quay, before the day of the races, as no tickets of any description will be issued on the Racecourse.
