NEARLY all the officers mentioned in the despatches of Lord Roberts have been rewarded with distinctions according to their merits, and there are some who think that New Zealand has not received her fair share of honours. It is a question whether anyone vi New Zealand is a fair judge in this matter — at all events, most unbiassed people would be content with the opinion of the great British Com-mander-in-Chief. The fact is, weha\e viewed the exploits of "our boys" through rose-coloured spectacles, and have magnified their smallest actions into mighty deeds. They have occupied the whole of the war picture for us, and we have not been able to see the greater and worthier deeds of others. But Lord Roberts has been there, and knows his business, and, while he admits that New Zealand men have done well, and has sent cordial replies to the insistent cablegrams from this end, he has not overlooked the merits of the other fellows. We can rely upon it that our lads have received their dues, and that they have been rewarded according to their merits. This is all that we ought to expect, and it is all that Suratura expects. Suratura tea has become popular through the sheer merits of its purity, fragrance, and delicious quality. Suratura tea is guaranteed, not blended with Indian, China, or any cheap or inferior teas.
