fTIHIS COMPANY is being floated to acJL quire and work mining areas, and in particular a mining area of about 80 acres (the land being unsurveyed the area is only approximate), comprising about one mile of Nelson Creek, West Coast, immediately above and adjoining the Aldinga Company's claim AU preliminary Court fees and survey charges have been paid by the Vendors, who have also gone to the expense of having the property well prospected by two independent and competent dredging men whose reports are attached. The claim is situated two miles above the Nelson Creek Coy.'s property, the Victory and Aldinga lying between. The piospects obtained by Mr. Mailer on the one hand and Mr. Wilson on the other are undoubtedly exceptional, when it is considered they were got in every case several feet from the bottom. It will be seen that both prospectors obtained very similar results on different parts of the claim. Dividends will be paid per share, irrespective of the amount called up. The expenses of and incidental to the flotation and incorporation of the Company will be borne and paid by the Company. The only agreement entered into is dated the 18th day of February, 1901, and is made between Wm. Andrew Sadler, the owner of the claim, of the one part, and Keith Stuart Ramsay, as trustee for and on behalf of the Company, of the other part, and a copy of same, together with the original reports and samples of prospects obtained, may be seen at the office of the Interim Secretary.
REPORT. Ahaura, November Ist, 1900. Sir, — According to your instructions I examined and prospected your dredging claim, known as Sadlers, on Nelson Creek, a tributary of the Grey River, West Coast, and beg to report as follows : Your claim] commences opposite Claughessys' Freehold and extends up the bed of Nelson Creek one mile and is of an average width of ten chains. It adjoins the Aldinga Company at the lower end, the Lady Nelson at the upper boundary, and is all dredgeable, every foot of it. The terraces each side of your claim are all gold bearing, which shows plainly in my opinion that the gold must also be in the bed of the Creek. In prospecting I sank a number of holes to water level and got good payable results in all of them, the gold being very evenly distributed all over your claim and easily saved. I washed one yard of gravel one foot above water level and two feet under water level for nine grains of gold. In another hole which we sank to a depth of nine feet but had to give it up on account of the water coming in on us too much, we got a littte better result viz. 11J grains of gold. In all my experiences in Otago I never met with gold so easily saved as the gold I washed out in your claim. With an up-to-date dredge in my opinion your claim should pay handsome leturns for the money invested. (Sd.) JOHN MAILER, Late of Miller's Flat, Otago, and Golden Gate Dredge.
