DISTRICT ORDER. MOURNING. ALL CORPS throughout -the District will go into Mourning for Her late Majesty Queen Victoria. 1. The Officers will wear a black cloth or crape band, 3i inches wide, above the elbow on the left arm. 2. The rank and file by draping in black the second button of the tunic. 3. GIRLS' HIGH SCHOOL. THE First Term will begin on the 4th February next. During the past year the Teaching Staff has been re-organised. Miss McLean, M.A lately Principal pi the Girls' Hign School, Timaru, _has been appointed Lady Principal- itod Miss Gellatfer, M.A. (Honours in Mathematics), has been appointed to take charge of the Higher Mathematics. HOLIDAY Excursion Tickets to Wellington or Te Aro, available for return until lath- February, will be obtainable as under : — From any station on Wellington-Napier-New Plymouth Section on 24th and 25th January. From Masterton, Belmont, and intermediate stations on 26th January by morning trains only. On 26th January, a Special Train for Masterton will leave Te Aro at 6.55 p.m., and Wellington at 7.10 p.m. Between the hours of 1.30 p.m. and 5.40 p.m. trains will NOT run between Te Aro and Wellington.
