TWO FOUNDS REWARD. WHEREAS several instances have occurred within a week past, of Animals having been maimed and wounded, belonging to Gentlemen wellknown in the Settlement; and whereas my Old Horse was brought home on Thursday the 29th ult. severely injured, apparently by the cut of a tomahawk, the Maori who came to,my house with the intelligence peremptorily refusing to say where he was until he extorted a payment of two shillings, but stating he would bleed to death if not instantly attended to: I hereby offer a Reward of Two Pounds , on the discovery and conviction of the perpetrator of this cruelty.
