MUNICIPAL COUNCIL.
Wednesday, June 14, 1843. COUNCIL MET. Present —Mr. Alderman Lyon in the chair. Messrs. Aldermen Molesworth, Waitt, Wade, Guyton, Dorset. Minutes of former meeting reaid ; and confirmed. Mr. Lyon proposed, and Mr. 'Molesworth seconded—That the Town Clerk be directed to write to the Company’s Principal Agent, to request he'will direct the Company's Surveyor to mark out the boundaries of the‘Town Bdlt; and that he will furnish the Corporation with an authenticated copy of the large corrected map of tbe town.
. Agreed to nem. con. Mr. Guyton That the Market-place in Manners’-street be opened for Stalls, and that the Town Surveyor be instructed to lay out the site thereof, in accordance with the selection of the Commissioners; appoirtted ‘by the Government, for • the , appropriation of the public reserves.
Adjourned till Saturday next at 10 o’clock NOTICE OF MOTION.
Dr. Dorset—That the Town Surveyor be instructed to set out ten acres of the Town Belt, bounding on the Karori road, for, the purpose of being leased to the Horticultural Society.
