Buttle, seconded by Mr* Alderman Scott — That in order to promote the utility of this Institution, and to place its benefits within the reach of those for whom it is especially designed, this meeting deems it advisable that the subscription should be reduced to ss. per annum, payable in advance. Howard Wallace, Esq.— That this meeting desires to express its thanks to His Excellency the Officer administering the Government, for the grant of a piece of ground for the purposes of the Institute, and also to the Principal Agent of the New Zealand Company, for the service he has at all times been ready to bestow to advence the general prosperity of the Institution.
