BETHUNE and HUNTER will sell by PUBLIC AUCTION, at LAMBTON QUAY, on FRIDAY next, the 13th current, ONE SECTION COUNTRY LAND, Being No. 1 on the Surveyor General’s Plan of the MAKARA District, judiciously chosen on seeing that half the Section was quite level, clear, and spontaneously producing luxuriant sow-thistle and grass ; it is watered by the Karori Stream, and intersected by the Road now completed to Karori, and which will, no doubt, be continued, as proposed, through the Makara—it is adjacent to the fine pastures of Wai-riki, and being on the outside Section, commands a good run. To suit Purchasers, it has been subdivided into FIVE ACRE LOTS. LEASE OF SECTION No. 29 ON THE RIVER HUTT, The greater part cleared and now under croj>; Five Dwelling-houses have been already erected, and many improvements completed. As several enquiries have been made for portions of this desirable Section, the Lessee purposes sub-letting it in 10 Acre Lots. It is unnecessary to refer to the fertility of the Hutt Land, or the beauty of its Scenery, or to remark on the advantages of Water Carriage, all of which this Section possesses, having a large River Frontage, and is bounded by the Great Road leading up the Valley ; the uncleared Land is Timbered with Splendid Pines, &c., suited for sawing. DWELLING-HOUSE AND SHOP ON LAMBTON QUAY, Lately occupied by Mr. Neal. Watchmaker, with 12 Years’ Lease. FRAME OF A HOUSE with Doors, Windows, Mantle-piece, &c., adjoining the Court House. 13 tons Flour, more or less damaged, to be sold for the benefit of whom it may concern, 4 tons Fresh Colonial Flour, 17 Hhds. Rum. 3 Hhds. Sherry Wine, 3 Cases Sherry Wine, 10 Cases Port, 5 Cases Cherry Brandy, 40 Boxes Window Glass, White Lead and other Paints, 3 Packages Slop Clothing and Summer Goods, variously assorted Merinos, Bombazettes, Toweling, Ladies’ Dresses, &c., &c., 1 Bale Shawls, 1 Bale Blankets, 1 Case Beaver Hats, A quantity of Ironmongery, Tools,. Agricultural Implements, &c., and one Tool Chest complete, Pickles, Mustard, Vinegar, and Soap, 2 Cases Mould Candles, A variety of valuable Books, A quantity of Seasoned Timber. ALSO, 4 Cows and one Fat Bullock, a superior Riding Mare, a small lot Ewes and Lambs, 4 Goats, 2 Breeding Sows, and Litters, 10 pair Lop-Eared Rabbits, 2 Carts. sale to begin at 12 o’clock with land and STOCK.
