PUBLIC SALE OF TOWN LAND AND MERCHANDISE. Messrs, bethune & hunter win sell by public auction, at Larabton Quay, on Thursday next, the Ist of December, TWO TOWN ACRES, Subdivided into convenient Allotments, all having Frontages to Streets. Viz., Ist, Town Acre, numbered 556, on the SurveyorGeneral’s Plan ; frontage on Hill Street, immediately behind the residence of Dr. Evans; beautifully situated, and presenting many advantages to small capitalists and mechanics, who will thus have aft opportunity of possessing freehold property in that centrical part of the Town. 2d, Town Acre, No. 134, on Te Aro Flat, being a Corner Allotment, fronting Taranaki and Ingestrie Streets, and situated on what must be the Main Street through this district of Wellington, and leading to the Suburban Lands and Dairy Farms rapidly forming about Evans’ Bay and towards Terawitti. Its chief advantage, however, is, in being in the near vicinity of the only public reserve having water-frontage in Town, and where, no doubt, a Public Wharf will ere long be constructed, and Public Buildings erected, which will give incalculable advantages to these allotments, beyond what they already possess, in being situated where leases are so much sought after. Plans may be seen of the Auctioneers. AFTER WHICH, A quantity of Merchandise, &c., consisting of Ironmongery, Tools, Manufactures, Glass, and Earthenware, Soap, Vinegar, Mustard, Flour, Tea, Sugar, Wines, and a large variety of other articles. Part of these Goods are more or less damaged by fire —will be sold without reserve. ALSO, THE WELL KNOWN, FAST SAILING, New Schooner GOVERNOR HOBSON, About 35 tons burthen, as she now lies in this harbour, with boat and appurtenances. She is well found in every respect with stores, stows a large cargo, and has just been furnished with new ground tackle. She was built in Coromandel Harbour in 1840, laid down by Webster. To be sold without reserve. 1 Horse and Dray with Harness complete; 1 strong Draught or Riding Horse ; and Town Acre No. 884, — with Country Section unselected —order of Choice 1,084. To be sold separately or together. Sale to begin at 12 o'Clock. November 24, 1842.
